Description
Develop more systematic and comprehensive searches with this close-up look at the search process. We’ll start by looking at the types of evidence in library databases and the study designs that provide the strongest evidence. We will then examine the components of a bibliographic record, and how to enhance your searches. 60 minutes.

Who should attend?
People who have mastered the basics of literature searching and want to know more. You need to conduct more systematic, comprehensive searches using advanced search techniques and database tools.
You’ll get the most out of this class if: you’ve attended our Search Skills II: Fundamentals of Literature Searching class OR you can already formulate a clinical question using PICO, perform a search in Medline Basic or CINAHL, combine terms with AND / OR, and retrieve the full text of articles.
