Description
During this one-hour session, we will cover how to formulate a searchable question and create a comprehensive search strategy. As part of this, you’ll learn how to incorporate keywords and subject headings to enhance your searching practice. This session will focus on how to construct a search within the Ovid MEDLINE database.
Learning Objectives
- Formulate a searchable question
- Develop a search strategy by identifying and combining appropriate keywords and subject headings
- Conduct a search in MEDLINE (via the OVID interface)
- Refine search results using available filters
- Retrieve the full-text of articles where available
Who should attend?
AHS staff who are interested in learning how to increase their search skills while gaining an understanding of how to comprehensively search Ovid MEDLINE database. There will be some overlap in content between this session and the CINAHL- focused search session.
